Packaging Options

Leave in sheets
Parts will be supplied flat and tabbed into 12" X 18" sheets.

Detach, bulk:
Select this option if you would like Fotofab to detach your parts from the sheet and package them in bulk.

Drop-outs:
If you require your part to have no "burrs" or tabs (see our "Design Guide" section on "Tabs" for more information), select the drop-out option. The minimum material thickness for drop-out is 0.005" (0.127mm). This selection is not recommended if your part has tight tolerances or delicate features.

Bag & Tag:
Fotofab will detach your parts from the sheet, bag and tag per your request. Please indicate how many parts per bag are preferred (i.e. 1, 2, 50, 100, etc...).

Tape & Reel:
Best used for high volume quantities, we offer both standard size and custom carriers.

Leadframe:
If your part requires tight tolerances and does not have any surface area that can be used for a tab (see our "Design Guide" section on "Tabs" for more information), then Fotofab can manufacture your part on a Leadframe to hold the tolerance, and then shear off the tab. Due to the increased amount of material needed for the Leadframe, this option can have an adverse effect on the price of your part.

Layer in foam:
Sometimes, parts need some extra care in shipping. Select this option especially if your part must be scratch-free or has any fragile, formed features.

Waffle Trays:
Fotofab can place 1-2 parts per space in plastic waffle trays, shrink wrap each tray with plastic to protect the parts, and ship to your facility.
